i think i'm packed now...

so bob went to borrow erin's scale last night to weigh bags and find out that yes, i had overpacked... took all my creature comforts out (fleece blanket, jersey sheets, extra goo...) and now i am right at the acceptable limits of major packing... this will be 110 day voyage around the world as a solo piano bar entertainer on a beautiful ship... as one of the only non-uniformed employees i have to take virtually all of my clothes... i broke down and got the space bags from the infomercial where you can suck everything down to a manageable bundle... a very mixed emotional bag - excited, to see the world, but will be missing my son and the dog immensely, tho i look forward to bob joining the journey halfway through... will be picking up art supplies and souvenirs from everywhere for nino, and trying to jam on my melodica with street musicians from all over... will be gathering audio recordings and pictures, too, so stay tuned, and i will keep you posted from the road... ciao for now! -df
